Clean Air Day Competition - A breath of fresh air for Wokingham!

Protect your health and the planet this Clean Air Day on 20 June. This year’s theme is highlighting that cars and vans are the biggest source of toxic chemicals (NOx) in our air. We want everyone to take action to ensure that people can travel in cleaner and greener ways.

Create a picture using the colouring template which can be found under Related Downloads and imagine what Wokingham would look like if there were no cars? Make sure you include in your drawing some greener and cleaner forms of transport, such as walking, scooting and cycling, but you can let your imagination run wild!

Please include how you get to school in the picture, as well as your name, class and school.

The first prize is a year’s access to air quality monitoring data for an individual school, using the Earthsense Virtual Zephyr© air quality model via the MyAir platform to investigate air pollution sources around the school site. There will also be 2 £10 book vouchers as well as My Journey goody bags for the runners up.

Clean Air Day is a national campaign to encourage everyone to ditch the car and find alternative and healthier ways to get around.
