Bikeability for Families

Would you like some help and advice from our trained Bikeability Instructors to enable you and your family to cycle together more confidently on the roads?

My Journey Wokingham has obtained some funding from the Bikeability Trust to offer up to two FREE practical cycling sessions per family, based in the area where you live or go cycling. (You must live, work or go to school in Wokingham Borough to be eligible to take part).

There is no minimum age but all riders must be able to cycle (i.e. set off, pedal, slow down and stop) prior to the sessions. At least one adult from the household must be present at all times and the maximum group size is six people. You all need to have roadworthy bikes and cycle helmets too please.

The practical cycling sessions will include advice on road positioning, priorities and the importance of observation and communication with other road users. Advice on route planning and the use of local cycle infrastructure can also be included if appropriate.
