Christmas Tree Trail Winners!
We all know the importance of getting out for some exercise every day, especially for those who are working from home. For some this exercise might be a run, others a cycle, or it could be a lovely walk. While there is nothing better than getting out in the fresh air, and enjoying some of the beautiful countryside we have here in Wokingham, the My Journey team are trying to add to experiences of walkers. We seek to do so with some things almost everyone enjoys, puzzles and prizes!
During December a particular popular competition which we ran along with the Community Engagement team was a Christmas Tree Trail. Running from the 5th to the 18th December, walkers were provided with a map and tasked to find eight posters showing Christmas related clues to decorate a Christmas tree. The trail began at the car park at the top of William Heelas Way, progressed onto the Buckhurst Meadow (SANG), passed the Floreat school, past David Wilson Sales office, before finally finishing at the play areas.
Once all the pictures were found, families completed a worksheet and sent it though to us. Four lucky winners were chosen at random, winning a bag of goodies from Tesco. Congratulations to The Smith, Baddersley, Randal and Walker families!
Be sure to keep your eye on the My Journey website and our social media pages for information about future competitions, including two half-term family bike trails taking place now!
