My Journey Clean Air Banner Competition
January and the New Year brings with it a lot of positive change, new resolutions and new starts. It is a great time to try something new, as well as continuing the good things you have done in the past. My Journey began the year by launching competitions at local primary schools.
One of these was a student design competition. Open to all infants aged from 4-7, pupils had to draw something which would promote clean air. The winning entry would then get turned into an outdoor banner which the school could erect outside. Pupils from six local schools entered this competition, Beechwood, Hatch Ride, Rivermead, Bearwood, Wheatfield and Floreat Montague Park Schools.
The My Journey team were impressed by both the talent and the range of ideas which were displayed by the students across the Borough. It was extremely difficult to pick just one winning entry but eventually one was selected. The winning entry came from a student in Wheatfield.
Due to the present situation with COVID-19, the banner has yet to be delivered to Wheatfield but we hope that when it does you will be able to enjoy the talent of the artist as well as appreciate its important message. Congratulations to Wheatfield Primary School - the winning entry is displayed below!
