Summer Competitions

Summer Reading Challenge and Walking Trails

My Journey along with the Community Engagement Team and the Libraries took part in the Wild World Heroes competition as presented by the Reading Agency. Using the graphics they designed, we set up two picture trails around California Country Park at Finchampstead and at Buckhurst Meadows, Montague Park.

Different pictures were set up around the trails and their locations plotted on a map. Those taking part had to try and find the poster in each location and mark down on their answer sheet which character was at which location. Though there were a few issues with posters going missing in California Country Park, we received a good number of entries for both locations. The winners have now been contacted and received their prizes.

Bike Wordsearch at Hazebrouck Meadows, Arborfield Green

The Community Engagement team also set up a bike wordsearch at Hazebrouck Meadows. Posters with the names of different parts of a bike were hidden around the meadows. Once found, the children were then asked to find the word on their wordsearch answer sheet and send the completed answer sheet into us. The winner has been contacted and received their prize.

Congratulations to all our winners and thank you to everyone who took part!

Be sure to keep an eye on our website and social media page for details of our future competitions.
