Terrific tales and wondrous writing in My Journey Superhero story writing competition
After careful consideration, and lots of fun reading, we are delighted to announce that we have chosen a winner for our Superhero Story Writing Scooter Competition. Though all the stories sent were impressively original and entertaining, eventually we were able to choose a winner.
As part of My Journey’s response to the lockdown, providing additional activities for kids, this competition asked primary school kids to write a story about a superhero and their scooter. They could write about anyone or anything they liked and there was no word limit. The winning entry would then win the writer a brand new Micro Scooter.
Interest was extremely high, with 49 different entries sent through from 14 different schools and we were really blown away by the quality and imagination of the stories sent through to us. We were transported to a range of different worlds, some more based in reality, and some in fantasy. From essential workers delivering food during quarantine, to secret relationships between cats on an estate, to unicorns being rescued from bad ducks by a monkey with a magical saw, the range of writing and effort put in was incredible.
Though it was really difficult, we were eventually able to choose a winner, who is a pupil of Loddon Primary School. The winner has been contacted to organise delivery of their prize of a brand new Micro Scooter. We have also posted a story of the winning entry which can be found under Related Downloads.
Our next kids competition will be running in July. Be sure to like and follow My Journey on Facebook and check out our website to keep up-to-date with all our competitions and events.
Congratulations to the winner and also thank you very much for all your amazing entries!
