Wokingham Schools Earn STARS Accreditations

Wokingham schools have continued to work on their travel plans with Modeshift STARS.

Modeshift STARS provides a step-by-step process for creating and monitoring travel plans. Participating schools can earn green, bronze, silver, gold, or platinum accreditation, which is recognised nationally.

Wokingham Borough Council also offer up to £2,000 grant funding for schools that earn bronze level and above.  This funding can be used to promote sustainable travel.

During the spring term, five schools either earned new accreditation or gained their next level.

  • Evendons Primary School has earned platinum level accreditation. They are our first school to do so
  • The Coombes Primary School has earned silver accreditation
  • Wescott Infants School has now earned their bronze accreditation
  • Shinfield St Mary’s Junior School has earned their green accreditation
  • The Hawthorns Primary School has earned their bronze accreditation

Great job to all these schools.
