Wokingham Walk 2021

One of our team took part in the Wokingham Walk recently and here is a detailed account of their experience of the walk.

Taking part in the Wokingham Walk was an experience that everyone should try as it offers multiple benefits. Not only the money raised is for charity and therefore helps people in need but also it enables the connection of participants with nature whilst boosting their health and wellbeing.

Having undertaken the 15 mile walk for the first time this year, it made me appreciate the value of nature and the opportunity to spend time outdoors was quite exciting especially after a year of lockdown and restrictions due to the pandemic. The route was well-signed with marshals at key points making the navigation easy even for those who participated for the first time. Snacks and drinks were offered at the rest stops with marshals ensuring the wellbeing of the participants. The route takes you through a mix of rural footpaths, greenways and quiet local roads which gives good scenic views of the local area.

I would encourage everybody to consider taking part in the future walks as it was an enjoyable day and I am looking forward to participating in the next one. Hope to see you there!

The next Wokingham Walk will take place on Sunday, 24th October 2021 - full details and can be found on Wokingham Walk's website.
