Why Walk?

The 10,000 steps a day challenge is set by NHS to help individuals get more active.  Daily step counts can be tracked on the Health app on iPhones or by a range of free apps that can be downloaded onto your smart phone. Find out more about the NHS 10,000 steps a day challenge here.

Buggyfit

Please find details below of twice weekly Buggyfit classes that take place in Woodley:

Mondays at 10:15am - Woodford Park - Meet at the War memorial


Wednesdays at 10:15am - Woodford Park - Meet at the War Memorial

All classes cost £4.00 and last an hour. They are suitable for all fitness levels and involve power walking and strengthening and toning exercises. No need to wear sports clothes, just wear whatever fits and is comfortable, however trainers are the best shoes to wear.

parkrun organise free, weekly, 5km timed runs around the world. They are open to everyone, free, and are safe and easy to take part in.

These events take place in pleasant parkland surroundings and encourage people of every ability to take part; from those taking their first steps in running to Olympians; from juniors to those with more experience; all are welcome.
