Beat the Street launch at Windmill

Beat the street launched on Tuesday 8 June with Beat the Street Co-ordinator and My Journey delivering talks to every year group at Windmill Primary School, explaining about the game with road safety messaging added.

There were many excited and competitive pupils champing at the bit to get out looking for the beat boxes on their bikes, scooters and walking of course!  Boxes were live from first thing in the morning so some very keen children had already been tapping boxes on the way to school, after having a recce over the weekend to find all the local boxes in their area.

It’s not just the journey to and from school where you can find beat boxes but also local parks and green spaces round Wokingham, Finchampstead and Woosehill.

Good luck to everyone who is playing the game the next 6 weeks and getting points for their schools and community groups… fingers crossed you will win prizes and enjoy travelling around sustainably and actively in our lovely weather!
