Oaklands Junior School

Walking or cycling are great ways to travel to school.  They have benefits for you and your child’s health and for the environment.  They are cheap and help reduce congestion.  Walking and cycling to school can also help you and your family to socially distance on the journey to school.

Many pupils live within a reasonable walking or cycling distance to their school.  The return to school following the Coronavirus lockdown, makes this an ideal time to change your family’s travel habits.

To see how you can travel to school without a car, please look at the travel map for information on routes and available modes which can be found under Related Downloads.  This includes details of any walking, cycling and bus routes, and park and stride locations.
