Active Travel promotion at Wokingham train station

Over a month commencing 20 September My Journey have been holding events at Wokingham train station, once a week, to engage with train users to promote active travel and hand out leaflets and maps to encourage people to travel sustainably to the station, with advice on the best routes and ways to incentivise walking and cycling through the winter months. 

We have been outside the station entrance near the bike shed for three hours between 3.30pm and 6.30pm and have had a lot of interest in our free Dr Bike checks and giveaways such as hi-vis rucksack covers and emergency bike lights.  We were happy to meet with some new families to Wokingham to provide travel information about the local area to help them settle into living and working in our lovely town.
