Competitions

My Journey Wokingham wants to encourage parents and schools to get involved in making the journey to school fun and active. Each term we will aim to run a competition for primary school children with prizes offered to the winning pupil/school.

As part of our work to promote sustainable travel to schools, the My Journey team run a number of competitions and special events each academic year.  These are designed to support schools looking to achieve accreditation for their Modeshift STARS travel plans and can be used to reach the number of initiatives required.

This term, we are running the following competition:

Primary Schools Art Competition

To enter you need to:

• Either draw a picture or take a photo of something you like to see when you are travelling actively to school
• Write a short sentence about why you like what you see

The competition starts on Monday 15 January until Wednesday 21 February.

Prizes are:

• A family ticket to a Reading Football Club match kindly sponsored by Reading FC
• KS1: A family swim ticket at Places Leisure - kindly sponsored by them
• KS2: Move More Class at Places Leisure - kindly sponsored by them
